It has been reported that a bomb has exploded under the bridge linking
Amuwo-Odofin and Festac killing a Man and leaving a policeman injured.
The Area Commander of Area E Festac Command of the Lagos State Police Command, Dan Okoro, confirmed the death in a telephone conversation saying the dead was a leader of the sand dredgers under the bridge.
It was also confirmed from another source that one the dead is the chairman of the said association who operated in the water under the bridge.
The police boss also said a policeman was injured in the blast, whose leg was damaged.
The police bomb squad are already at the scene of the explosion. The cause of the explosion is yet to be known.
