Andre Johnson was severely injured in April after he severed his penis and leaped from the second level of a building in North Hollywood. He told E! that he was under the influence of drugs at the time but insisted that he knew what he was doing.

"Yes, I was using drugs that night, but I was in complete control," he said. "I cut it off because that was the root of all my problems. My solution to the problem was the realization that sex is for mortals, and I am a god. ...Those kinds of activities got me into trouble, and I came here to be a god."Johnson performs under the name Christ Bearer and his group Northstar was affiliated with the Wu-Tang Clan. Johnson said he hadn't spoken out on the incident before because "People perceived me as crazy, so I never wanted to speak wholeheartedly on the matter."

Doctors weren't able to reattach the penis, he told E!.

He said he had been seeing a psychologist after he was discharged but that he has been deemed okay. He said he was thankful to God when he awoke in the hospital still alive.

"I didn't want to kill myself," Johnson said. "That was just my response to the demons. They were doing their best to get to me, but being alive solidified my thoughts. ...I'm alive, penis or no penis."\

17-Yr-Old Malala Donates $200,000 For Abducted Girls Education

During her visit to the Presidential Villa, the 17-year-old disclosed that President Jonathan gave assurance that he was ready to meet the parents of the abducted schoolgirls at any time.

In his remarks, President Jonathan said: “I personally believe that since about 50 per cent of our population are female, we will be depriving ourselves of half of our available human resources if we fail to educate our girls adequately or suppress their ambitions in any way. We are therefore taking steps to curb all forms of discrimination against girls and women, and have also undertaken many affirmative actions on their behalf.

“Terror is relatively new here and dealing with it has its challenges. The great challenge in rescuing the Chibok girls is the need to ensure that they are rescued alive.The Govt and its security agencies were very mindful of the need to avoid the scenario in rescue attempts in other parts of the world where lives of abductees were lost in the efforts to rescue them.”

The Director of Operations of Malala Foundation, Shiza Shahid, told State House correspondents that the President said to Malala that “he can guarantee that all the girls that have been kidnapped, including the ones that escaped, will be given scholarships to go to school in other parts of the country”.

July 14 is Malala Day, a day set aside by the United Nations for the world to focus on putting all girls to school.
She said: “I am here in Nigeria on my 17th birthday for a price, which is to see that every child goes to school.
“This year, my objective is to speak up for my Nigerian sisters, about 200 of them who are under the abduction of Boko Haram.

Malala said the Malala Foundation has raised $200,000 for the abducted schoolgirls, adding: “And we want to use it to contribute to those children’s education.

46 persons dead in the twin bomb blasts that hit the popular Jos terminus market

The Police Command in Plateau has confirmed 46 persons dead in the twin bomb blasts that hit the popular Jos terminus market on Tuesday afternoon.

Mr Chris Olakpe, the Commissioner of Police, who addressed newsmen on the incident, said that the blast also injured 45 people.

According to him, the first bomber came in a Fiat bus and parked at the market’s central business area.

"The second blast, which was concealed in a Siena bus, happened 100 metres away from the first one,’’ he said.

Olakpe said that the casualty figures were collated after visits to Plateau Specialist Hospital and Bingham Hospital, Jos.

"Like I told you, there should be more because we have not gone to the new and old Jos University Teaching Hospitals,’’ he further explained.

The police commissioner said that a comprehensive details of casualties could be determined after the security teams had visited the two health establishments.

Olapke said that the market had been cordoned off and urged members of the public to steer away from the affected place in their own interest.

"Men of our anti-bomb unit will comb the market before it is declared safe for business activities to continue,'' he said.

He advised members of the public to always avoid the temptation of rushing to bomb scenes, adding that people around such scenes should quickly lie down for "at least 30 minutes'' before scurrying to safety.

The police chief advised Nigerians to be security conscious in every environment they found themselves.

"We also expect people to promptly report any suspicious character to the security agencies.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses have put the death toll at 150. Channels Tv, also reported that at least 150 persons were killed in the blast.

There were indications yesterday that the 230 female students abducted by Boko Haram terrorists from the Government Girls’ Secondary School, GGSS, Chibok, Borno State, have been sited at the Sambisa Forest in Borno State, by the Special Forces of the United States Marines.

The girls who were abducted on April 14, were part of the 250 students boarded at the school for the West African School Certificate, WASC/ Senior Secondary School Certificate, SSSC, examinations, triggering world-wide condemnations.

This was even as more US military officials arrived Nigeria yesterday to join local officials in the search for nearly 300 school girls taken captives by the Islamist extremist group, Boko Haram, the US Secretary of State John Kerry, and the defence department, Pentagon, said.

The UK team had earlier arrived in Abuja to support Nigerian government in its response to the abduction of over 200 school girls.

The arrival of the foreign troops is coming on the heels of the appeal yesterday by the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar for Nigerians to unite and fight the insurgents to achieve success.

According to Kerry, “Our inter-agency team is hitting the ground in Nigeria now and they are going to be working with President Goodluck Jonathan’s government to do everything that we possibly can to return these girls.”

The CNN also quoted the U.S. Navy Rear Admiral, John Kirby, who serves as Pentagon press secretary, as saying that the small team of seven would join advisers supporting local efforts to find the girls abducted over three weeks ago.

Kerry said the US team, working with the Nigerian government, would do everything possible to free the girls and everything possible to stop the atrocities of Boko Haram.

“We are also going to do everything possible to counter the menace of Boko Haram. The entire world should not only be condemning this outrage but should be doing everything possible to help Nigeria in the days ahead,” he added.

But there are no plans to send American combat troops into Nigeria, Mr. Kirby said.

The abduction of the school girls on April 14 in a remote community in Borno State, one of the most shocking terrorist acts by Boko Haram yet, has drawn widespread anger around the world with calls for a swift action.

President Goodluck Jonathan said Thursday that the kidnapping will be “the beginning of end” of Boko Haram.

US President Obama has said he hopes the abduction by Boko Haram will galvanize the international community to act against the brutal group that has directed much of its cruelty on civilians and the innocent.marines-arrest

This week, more than 100 people were killed in a busy market by militants suspected to be from the group. The attack occurred in Gamboru Ngala, Borno State, near the Nigerian border with Cameroun.

Besides the United States, Britain, France and China have also offered to help rescue the stolen girls.Obama said the team sent to Nigeria comprised personnel from military, law enforcement and other agencies.

France said it will station 3,000 troops in Nigeria’s neighbouring countries to help fight militants in the Sahel region.

British satellites and advanced tracking capabilities also will be used, and China has promised to provide any intelligence gathered by its satellite network.

Meanwhile in a statement yesterday, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesperson said, “a team of UK experts who will advise and support the Nigerian authorities in its response to the abduction of over 200 school girls touched down in Abuja, Nigeria this morning”.

The team is drawn from across government, including DfID, FCO and the MoD, and will work with the Nigerian authorities leading on the abductions and terrorism in Nigeria. The team will be considering not just the recent incidents but also longer-term counter-terrorism solutions to prevent such attacks in the future and defeat Boko Haram.

The team will be working closely with their US counterparts and others to coordinate efforts.

Us Marines find abducted girls, arrest Boko Haram leader

However, military sources said that apart from abducting the girls, the insurgents also carted away food items and vehicles as well as killing undisclosed number of people in Chibok on the fateful night.

The sources told Saturday Vanguard in Abuja that members of the United States Marines who are already in Maiduguri following the promise by President Barak Obama to assist Nigeria in rescuing the abducted girls, located the girls inside the forest, using some Satellite equipment which combed the forest, located an assembly of the young girls and sent the images back to the Marines on ground in Maiduguri.

Aside locating the whereabouts of the girls in the dense forest, it was also, further gathered that one of the leaders of terrorist group who participated in the abduction of the girls was arrested by a combined team of the US Marines and Nigerian forces.

Sources said that the Boko Haram leader was arrested, through an advanced interceptor equipment which was used to track the terrorist while exchanging information with his colleagues in Sambisa Forest about the movements of American and Nigerian soldiers in Maiduguri.

His phone was subsequently traced to a location in Maiduguri where he was arrested and handed over to the Nigerian military.

The location of the girls in the forest is contrary to widespread reports that the girls had been distributed and ferried to the Nigerian border towns in Chad, Cameroon and Niger Republic.

Senator Ahmed Zanna, representing Borno Central District in whose Maiduguri home, an alleged Boko Haram top commander was once arrested told the Senate last week that he gave the Military an up-to-date information on how the girls could be rescued, but lamented that his information was largely ignored.

He spoke against the backdrop of the claim by the Boko Haram leader, Sheik Abubakar Shekau, last week that the girls were booties of war, who would be sold into slavery.

However, Atiku said in his blog, “While I have had and continue to have major policy differences with the government in Abuja and its leadership, as a nation we must remain united.

”We have come to a turning point in our war against terrorism in Nigeria. It is a critical moment for us; the war will not be won without us winning this battle. In short, if one is not part of the solution, they become part of the problem.

”And at a moment like this, we can no longer afford anything but a united commitment to stamping out a great evil that threatens the very existence of the only place we call home.

”On social media, I have been amazed by the outpouring of solidarity from within and outside Nigeria. While on the one hand it is sad to see Nigeria in the news for its inability to protect its most vulnerable citizens, it is also clear that in the age of social media no concerns or problems are local.

”It is in light of this that I welcome the offer of military support from the United States, United Kingdom, France and others, and the acceptance by the Nigerian government. While I believe that we waited too long to get to this point of admitting our need for external help, I will also insist that it’s better late than never.

”We must make it clear that under no circumstances should any person, group of persons, or organization ever be permitted to prey on the children of Nigeria, or any other country. We must make it easy for everyone who has information about this crime against humanity to contact the authorities at once.

”We must make it easy for the innocent population of the affected areas to see the Nigerian military and authorities as friends, not enemies. We must make it easy for our soldiers to be loyal and committed to this great and difficult task ahead of them.

”We must make it easy for the world to see Nigeria as a country that cares for all its citizens, regardless of their age, gender, religion, ethnic group or economic class. We must remember the people most affected, trapped on the frontlines of the battle.

They need support, relief   and rehabilitation. ”We must remember they will need help when they are returned home to their families and their loved ones. And we must make it difficult for anyone to play politics with this crisis.

’’Nothing, absolutely nothing, is worth the bloodshed and the destruction we have come to associate with this campaign of terror. Not party affiliations, not the 2015 elections. We are in a race against time. For every day we delay our response, or allow ourselves to be caught up in needless bickering, we hand victory over to the forces of darkness and despair, like Boko Haram.”

Meanwhile, the Defence headquarters has assured protesters from different parts of the country that it was treating the issue of the abduction of over 200 school girls from Chibok town in Borno state as a special test case pointing out that the military is committed to bringing back the girls.

Director Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade made the disclosure to the media and scores of protesters after a closed door meeting between selected leaders of the a protest group that stormed DHQ and top officers of Defence headquarters.

According to General Olukolade “Nigerian military is freshly committed to finding the girls. Let me assure the Nigerian the public that the best will be done to bring back our girls safe and alive. Please, keep supporting us, keep praying along. We will get result very soon.”

One of the leaders of the protesting group, Dr Jibrin Ibrahim in his response said, “The key outcome of the interaction we have had is that the priority for this nation, for the military and for us, the Civil Society is to bring back our girls.”

“They have committed to intensifying their efforts, but above all to produce results in the shortest possible time. They have briefed us fully about the activities they have engaged in, a lot of which we do not want to reveal in the open”.

Dr Ibrahim added, “I want to assure you that the very clear message we got from them is that their engagement is serious, is being escalated and is focused on the objective of bringing back our girls alive and safe.”

While speaking with the protesters, General Olukolade told them, “Your concerns are our concerns, these children are our children as well, in this building you see here, there are people who have children and relations among those people; so we equally share your concern and be sure that we are not leaving Nigerians alone.”

Furthermore, he said, “we are not shirking our responsibilities. This meeting will give us the opportunity to explain to you the efforts that are ongoing at the level of the military and the government; be sure that every effort is ongoing to bring back our daughters and our children alive.”

One of the protesters Saudatu Mahdi, who read from a prepared speech said, “Millions around the world have been unable to come to terms with the loss; today millions of Nigerian women and men call on the federal government and the security agencies to find and bring back these girls currently living in captivity”.

She added, “These young girls are daughters, sisters, nieces, women and mothers; those that are directly affected grieve and we as Nigerian and Human beings join them in their anguish and distress, we want them back safe in their homes where they belong.”

Mahdi also said the trend of conflicting information about the exact number of the girls that are missing are weak and unconvincing adding “This makes it imperative for all Nigerians to amplify and demand of those with the responsibility to for the safety of all Nigerians to act and constructively engage to find and return these girls to their parents.”

“As citizen it is our right and responsibility to ask question so we ask that in this age of Google maps and Ariel surveillance, how is it possible that the rescue of over 200 girls is giving us so much challenge”.

Chairman Chibok Community in Abuja, Hosea Tsambido in tears, begged the federal government to do everything possible to bring back the girls.

Among the top military officers who hosted the protesters at the Defence Headquarters included the Chief of Administration, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ogbor, Director Defence Communication, Major General Odunukwe, Chief of Policy and Plans, Air Vice Marshal A. Iya, and Director Military Intelligence, Major General L. W. Wiwa.

Britain will send a small team of experts to Nigeria to help respond to the kidnap of more than 200 girls, a Downing Street spokesman said Wednesday.

The team will concentrate on planning, coordination and advice to local authorities rather than operations on the ground to look for the girls, who were seized by the Islamist militant group Boko Haram on April 14.

The team will fly to Nigeria “as soon as possible”, Prime Minister David Cameron’s spokesman.

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan accepted the offer when the two leaders spoke by telephone earlier Wednesday.

The experts will be drawn from government departments including the defence, international development and foreign affairs ministries and may include military officers.

US President Barack Obama has sent military experts to Nigeria to help in the search and the British team will complement their efforts.

Cameron’s spokesman could not say how large the team would be.

In his phone call with Jonathan, Cameron expressed his “shock at the appalling attack and wholehearted support for the Nigerian people”, a Downing Street spokeswoman said.

“Both leaders also agreed that their respective governments should explore how to further strengthen co-operation on counter-terrorism in the longer term to prevent such attacks in the future,” she added.

“The prime minister and president agreed on the importance of the international community working together to meet the challenge posed by Islamic extremism and violence.”

Speaking in parliament earlier, Cameron condemned the kidnapping as “an act of pure evil”.

“It has united people across the planet to stand with Nigeria to help find these children and return them to their parents,” he told lawmakers.

Cameron said Britain had made “repeated offers of help” since the kidnap.

“This is not just a Nigerian issue; it is a global issue,” he added.

“There are extreme Islamists around our world who are against education, against progress, against equality and we must fight them and take them on wherever they are.”

 France on Wednesday offered Nigeria a “special team” to look for more than 200 girls kidnapped by Islamist militant group Boko Haram in an incident that has triggered global shock and condemnation.

The extremists seized a first batch of schoolgirls in Nigeria’s restive northeast three weeks ago, saying they were holding them as “slaves” and threatening to sell them, and have since kidnapped other girls in the area.


“A special team with all our resources in the region is at the disposal of Nigeria to help in the search and recovery of these young girls,” French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told parliament.

President Francois Hollande is due to hold phone talks with his Nigerian counterpart Goodluck Jonathan on the subject on Wednesday evening, sources close to the French leader said.

France already has troops on the ground in Mali not far away, where they continue to engage in intelligence gathering to further weaken armed Islamists in the north after driving them out of towns they had occupied for months.

“The president gave the defence minister and myself the order… to put our (intelligence) services at the disposal of Nigeria and neighbouring countries,” Fabius said.

Described as “heartbreaking” and “outrageous” by US President Barack Obama on Tuesday, the kidnappings have drawn several pledges of help from the international community.

Washington has deployed military experts to Nigeria to help search for the girls and Britain has offered unspecified practical help.

Earlier Wednesday, French government spokesman Stephane Le Foll denounced the kidnappings as “one of the most atrocious forms of terrorism because it involves kidnapping and trafficking children.”

His comments came as Boko Haram this week kidnapped another 11 girls from a village in Borno state, the epicentre of the group’s five-year Islamist uprising.

And on Wednesday, witnesses and a local senator said the extremist group had staged a bloody attack in the northeastern town of Gamboru Ngala, firing on fleeing civilians and killing hundreds.

Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau who claimed responsibility for the abduction of hundreds of schoolgirls in northern Nigeria that has triggered international outrage, has threatened to sell them as “slaves”.

The comments were made in a 57-minute video obtained by AFP.

“I abducted a girl at a Western education school and you are disturbed. I said Western education should end. Western education should end. Girls, you should go and get married,” he said.

“I will repeat this: Western education should fold up. I abducted your girls.”

“I will sell them in the market, by Allah,” Shekau said, claiming his group was holding the girls as “slaves”.

 “I will marry off a woman at the age of 12. I will marry off a girl at the age of nine,” he said elsewhere in the video.

 Unconfirmed reports from local leaders in Chibok suggested that the girls had been taken across Nigeria’s borders with Chad and Cameroon and sold as brides for as little as two thousand naira (N2, 000)

Boko Haram admits abducting female students

The Boko Haram sect said on Monday it carried out the abduction of over 100 female students of Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, last month.
The girls are still believed to be missing, prompting widespread criticism of the Federal Government, the BBC reports.
“I abducted your girls,” the BBC quoted Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, as saying in a video obtained by the AFP news agency.
Meanwhile, a woman who helped organise protests over the abduction has been detained, her fellow community leaders said.
